saturday was supposed to be our big day for skiing. well, sunshine and ridiculously high temps led us to trade in our lift tickets for a day of castles and hiking. jenny also turned 21 that day, so our evening included a little surprise party in the penthouse of our gasthaus and a group karaoke session. leider keine fotos of the evening as i was not in a camera carrying mood, but you may have better luck if you check out priscilla or molly's blogs.

hurricane lockdown

what do you do when you're on a ski trip and there's a hurricane watch? well, you get comfy in your favourite hoodie, pull out the rummy cards, and drink some wine to forget your troubles!

gimme a blizzard over this any day

so, i'm supposed to be going on a ski trip tomorrow to a place where there's no snow, and there's some sort of hurricane watch for germany. hurricane?!? in germany??!! german weather sucks. it's january, and outside it's like 15 degrees, raining, and the wind is howling. i am so sick of rain it's not even funny.

and if any of you winnipeggers complained about the weather you had last week, trust me, snow covered everything and -50 is better than this.

electro dance party

what a night it was. it started off with dinner italian-style and ended with us watching real-live chase scenes and being accosted by some poor soul who had unfortunately lost all his clothes. in between, someone tried to make the COE dorm feel like a four-story club with different music on each level. not sure it worked, but as you will see, the elektro room was where it was at.
